Been on to Longfield chippy today I only had a chipbutty and a couple of unbattered sausage there was so much to eat and too nice to waste any. The food is so nice and the chips are cooked in beef fat wich makes them definitely nicer. I don't think I'll be having any tea tonight I'm like a stuffed pig surly this has to be the best chippy in barnsley 100% hands down there is definitely no better chippy in the local area

Had a good sized chunky perfectly cooked cod in crispy batter(delicious). Homemade large portion steak or mince pie, liver and onions, burgers sausage fish cakes sauces etc are available served by two lovely young ladies. A regular place for me.

Came across this absolute gem travelling back from Wentworth castle. Great family deal which generously fed a family of 5. Rest of the menu was extremely good value for money - we were spoilt for choice! Staff super friendly and super accommodating to split our order into individual boxes to cater for our children in the back of the car (to avoid arguments!) food was so so tasty and the pieces of fish were chunky and super high quality. Not too greasy either so very satisfied children and parents eating on the go! Wish we lived closer but will plan to return for sure! Absolutely great find!!!

SO lovely to see this back open! The new ladies are friendly, and the chips were like good ones from the seaside! Massive bonus, they now take debit card....huge win! I just had a chip butty, bread was fresh, soft and buttered well, £3.60, a large bap and generous portion of chips. I went early around 11.30am, only living across the road, and the chips were hot and delicious. I spied some great looking homemade pies in the hot cabinet, but was served really quickly so didn't get chance to figure those out ...I will be doing. Good luck ladies on your venture 😊

Great to see this hidden gem is open once more. It was always home to some of the best fish & chips in the area, and the new owners are keeping up the good name! Delicious, tender, perfectly-cooked fish and plentiful chips, all accompanied by great friendly service!
